The Finnish Adult Education System – with working methods related to immigrant-, unemployed- and special needs students

18.–19.05.2011 in Vaasa, Finland

Invitation to Closing seminar

Building Bridges welcomes you to the closing seminar in Vaasa, Finland. The Building Bridges project started in the autumn of 2009 and will end in June 2011. The main aim of the project is to improve the general awareness of adult learners with special needs. The project has been focusing on three target groups; unemployed, immigrants and persons with special needs (for example learners with reading or writing disorders). The five partners from Finland, Sweden, Germany, Romania and Scotland have been comparing and exchanging experiences through a benchmarking process.

The seminar is open to all interested and runs over two days. On Wednesday, we will be focusing on the project, with lectures to highlight the perspectives of the teachers, the authorities and the students. On Thursday, we will give you a deeper insight in the Finnish Adult Education System – in both theory and in practice, including a visit to a company in which our students do their workplace training.
